Random Tag Meme

I was tagged by Craig at House of Howes with a meme. Here are the rules:
1. Link to the person that tagged you. (See above.)
2. Post the rules on your blog.
3. Share six non-important things/habits/quirks about yourself.
4. Tag at least three people at the end of your post and link to their blogs.
5. Let each person know they’ve been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.
6. Let the fun begin!

1. I am allergic to penicilan, and I can usually only use an antibiotic once with no reaction, so everytime I have to be on antibiotic I am always afraid I'll break out in hives any minute!
2. Since I have all brothers and mostly boy cousins, I would be perfectly happy only having boys, but if I have girls, I only want one. I have always been more comfortable around boys!
3. I am in the horrible habit of biting my nails, which my mom and aunt get really mad at me for because we have beautiful nails that grow really long and look really good - however, when I was pregnant I didn't bite my nails (must have been the "morning" sickness).
4. I don't like to hug or cuddle with anyone except my husband (and now Ky), which was one of the ways I knew I wanted to marry him! My in-laws are huggers, but they know only to hug me when necessary!
5. I kissed my first boy in kindergarten - I didn't know it was bad to kiss boys (the whole only having brothers thing) until I told my mom I had kissed my boyfriend. I'm sure she about died!
6. Girls are rare in my family. On the Schank side there are 25 grandkids, only 4 are girls and none of us have sisters. On the Adams side there are now 9 grandkids and only 2 of us are girls. The Sorensen family seems to be following this trend also with 5 grandkids and only one girl, however in June there will be another granddaughter!

I tag: Cami, Karin, and Kelsey!

Countdown . . .

For those of you wondering, Kent comes home in 6 days! He will be arriving in Reno on Thursday at 6:17pm! My whole family will be together for the first time in 4 years. I am trying not to think about it because I know that that makes it go by slower, but I am too excited not to!
Kylan and I also had an awesome day today, since our diesel tank was out and we had no heat until the people came to fill it, we went to great grandpa and grandma Adam's house and of course I didn't have my camera, which grandma would have killed me anyway, but it was so much fun to hang out with grandma and grandpa like I did when I was little. So thank you grandpa and grandma for spoiling us, we love you!

I was born in the right year!

Thanks Uncle Kade!

So I got this weird email that said I had failed to send a message to Kade, but then when I scrolled down it was him sending these pics to me. He took them Christmas eve and then played with them on his computer and I think they are so cute, so enjoy and thank you Uncle Kade!

Our Story . . .

Kristan did this on her site and asked others to do it too for Valentines day and I thought it was cute, so here goes . . .

I met Tim (by meet, I mean I mean talked to him since I have known of him my whole life) during Junior High when we were playing on a co-ed Indian league basketball team together. I thought he was cute and so much fun to be with. We were really good friends until our Junior year of high school. We went to the Junior prom together and then were dating after that. That Valentines Day I was a little upset with him because he didn't go to lunch with me, but what I didn't know was that he was with his mom picking me out a Valentines Day present, my first ever from a "boy". We dated and went to our first year of college together and then he left on his mission. He actually went into the MTC on my birthday! I dated a couple people while he was gone - mostly just guys from the ward who would ask me out and I didn't want to be mean. His first date to come home was on his birthday, but that was actually a transfer early to get him home in time for school (which his mom and I had registered him for), so about a week before he was supposed to come home he called and said that he was extending. That 6 weeks was the longest of his entire mission. About a week before his new coming home date he called again to say he was thinking about extending - I told him I didn't want him too and he said his family had said the same thing, so he came home. That day I was so nervious! I didn't sleep all night, then showered twice the next morning because my hair didn't turn out right the first time! I was the first one at the airport and was shaking so badly I couldn't even hold my soda I had brought. When he got off the plane he just kept looking at me and I couldn't tell what he was thinking. On our way down to pick up his luggage, he walked up to me and leaned over and said "I really want to kiss you right now." I was so relieved after that! We got engaged (officially) on September 16th (he got home on the 4th and the engagement story will have to wait for another post) and were married one month later on October 16. Thank you for choosing me Timothy Brett! Happy Valentines Day everyone - now I want to hear your stories!!
