Ward Christmas Party

I am attempting to catch up on my blog! I mostly take pictures on my phone now and haven't figured out a really convenient way to blog using them so I have been putting it off and now it is June and I still haven't covered Christmas! Yikes! We'll see how much I can remember! It snowed a little bit a couple times in December. Here is a picture of Mya in the snow, so Ky must have been at school and I don't know where Emmit was!

 Our ward Christmas Party this year was a brunch and it was really fun. Here is cute Ila and I hanging out.

 And sitting on Santa's lap. Only Mya and Kylan would do it. The other two sat on his lap at the Sorensen Family party earlier in the week (which I need to find the pictures of so I can blog that) so we didn't traumatize Emmit and make him sit on his lap again - or even go near him for that matter!

 Tim and I also took all 4 of the kids to the movie for the first time. It went really well. I think Ila ended up falling asleep on Tim for the whole thing and the other three were super good. We saw The Avengers.

Sorensen Family Party

We started a new tradition this year of having a Sorensen Family Party in December. It was so much fun! The food was amazing and the kids loved it when Santa showed up!

This year we got an Elf on the shelf from Santa. The kids loved it! He did all sorts of silly things, left activities for the kids to do and was a great reminder that they better be good if they wanted Santa to come visit them! Here they are planting their candy cane garden

 This is how most of us felt during Christmas this year! It was a ton of fun but we had a packed December!

 The funniest thing that Q did was hang the kids undies from the tree! They loved it!

New Paint

The second story of our house has always been a red barn color (the color of the paint running down the house) and the rest of the house is tan. We finally had the second story re roofed (the rest of the house was reroofed a couple years ago) and the guys who did it said they would paint it for a good price so we had them do it! We are still working on getting rid of the red paint that bled onto the stucho, but it looks so much better to have our house all one color! The only down side it I can't give directions to our house by telling people we live int he tan house with a red second story!
